Oxfam America

Corporate Partnerships

Our corporate partners all share Oxfam America's commitment to creating lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice around the world. There are many ways for your corporation to become an active member of the global philanthropic community.

Unrestricted Grants

The most useful grants are unrestricted and allow us to use the funding where it is needed most rather than it being directed to a specific program, campaign, or location.

Restricted Grants

Grants can also be restricted for specific programs, themes or geographic areas.

Here’s a sample of our Corporate Partners and what they have supported.

Capital Group Companies Logo

A corporate partner for over a decade, The Capital Group Companies is a group of investment management companies that share our deep commitment to struggling communities around the world. The Capital Group has provided grants for our humanitarian response programs in Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, and Africa just to name a few. The Capital Group is also a leader in Ethiopia—funding programs that provide small-scale farmers the water they need to grow crops and feed their families.

eBay Logo

As eBay connects buyers and sellers all over the world, they also bring compassion to ecommerce. Oxfam America is a recipient of an eBay Foundation grant to supply clean drinking water in Ethiopia and Zambia to thousands of people living in poverty. Oxfam America has also successfully raised funds via eBay Giving Works charity auctions. Our celebrity ambassadors have graciously auctioned off personal items and experiences, such as movie premier and media tour tickets, providing eBay customers one of a kind opportunities while also contributing to Oxfam.

Ernst & Young Logo

Following the tragic 2008 earthquake in China, Ernst & Young generously supported Oxfam’s humanitarian response to distribute food, water, shelter materials, medicine, and sanitation equipment to people in need. Oxfam is still working in the region to help communities build back their life and reduce their risks in the event of a future quake. Ernst & Young also showed their commitment to having a positive impact on society with a grant in support of relief efforts following the 2005 Tsunami in South East Asia.

NRG Systems Logo

Corporations like NRG Systems, the global leader in wind measurement technology, are supporting our comprehensive response to global warming that addresses the cause of climate change and responds to the needs of the poorest, most vulnerable communities as they adapt to a changing environment. Our program is grounded in a powerful advocacy effort that seeks to advance US policies that provide funding for climate adaptation; promote fair allocation of resources in the US and internationally; and bring a human face to the climate change crisis.

Russell Investments Logo

Russell Investments, a global investment firm, supports Saving for Change—Oxfam America’s savings led microfinance program. Through this program hundreds of thousands of people have built savings collectively within their communities. Together with Russell Investments, we will give people living in poverty a way to save for unexpected costs of medical emergencies and shortfalls in crop yields.

UPS Logo

In April 2009 Oxfam and UPS, the world's largest package delivery company, teamed up to respond to the devastating cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe. As part of its effort to slow the spread of the deadly waterborne disease, Oxfam purchased 450 biosand filters and UPS shipped them to Zimbabwe at no charge. The filters are part of Oxfam's pilot program to prevent future cholera outbreaks by providing 1,000 families with a reliable source of clean water in their homes.

VISA Logo

Visa Inc., the world's largest retail electronic payments network, supports Oxfam America with general humanitarian grants and provides specific funding for relief in Darfur as the ongoing crisis displaces thousands of people a day. Visa has also made a grant in support of Saving for Change, Oxfam’s savings led microfinance program in Senegal – funding groundbreaking work to help poor people lift themselves out of poverty. As Visa facilitates global commerce around the globe they also lead the way in international philanthropy.
